Outlining every branch
In a game of push your luck.
How tall can it grow
Before with a sudden flurry and soft swirl
It returns to black and begins anew.
---
I have always loved the feel
Of that fresh cold page covering the land,
That as the layers grow
There is a whole new world
Undiscovered for my first tread.
I am here.
This is mine and no one else's.
Like a moon landing
One small step, one giant leap.
